TR Schools Schedule of Events

Homecoming Week Sept. 18-22

TR schools are having tons of fun with HOCO spirit this week! The dress-up themes for the week included: Mon-Favorite Celebrity, Tues-Decades, Wed-Holiday, Thur-Music Genre, and Fri-Longhorn Pride/Spirit Day. Thursday night are the traditional STUCO games starting at 8pm in the gym and Bonfire/Car Smash to follow. Friday afternoon is the Homecoming Parade/Pep Rally on Main Street at 2:30pm with a Powder Puff game to follow. The Crowning Ceremony will commence at 6:30pm Friday evening preceding the football game. The candidates include: Mason Baker, Starla Cochrun, Austin Barnes, Gianna Hoersdig, Dashawn Eller, Kamryn Rietzke, Joshua Ferguson and Brooklyn Stauffer. A Pizza Party at the PAC Center will be held after the football game until 11:00 pm. Good Luck Longhorns!

Wed. 20- 9am FFA District Land Judging @ Osborne

Thur. 21- 4pm HS XC @ Osborne; 4/6pm MS VB/FB @ Home vs St. Johns-Tipton; 8pm HOCO Games & Bonfire

Fri. 22- 6:30pm Crowning Ceremony; 7pm HS FB vs Logan/Palco; After Party @ the PAC

Sat. 23- HS JV VB Tourney @ Hill City; 10am FFA District Dodgeball @ Ellis; 7-12 Band to march at Smith Center’s Old Settlers Day Parade @ 11am (leave at 10:00)

Tue. 26- HS VB Tri @ Home (Natoma, Lincoln)

Wed. 27- 9am 6th grade Wacky Day @ Camp Hansen; 9am FFA Area Land Judging @ Stockton; 9:30am 11th/12th College Fair

Thur. 28- 3:45pm HS XC @ Beloit; 4/6pm MS VB/FB @ Lincoln

Fri. 29- 7pm HS FB @ Home vs Downs

Sat. 30- HS VB Tourney @ Mankato


Legion this Friday Night

This week at the Kensington American Legion we will feature our shrimp basket with a dessert for our special. We will have our regular menu items as well and our kitchen is open from 6-8 and you can call 785-476-3204 to have your order ready for pick up. Hope to see you Friday!


Vendors Invited!

Plans are in the works for the 2023 Veterans Day/Fall Festival Craft Fair in Kensington on November 11, 2023. If you are interested in being a vendor or know someone who would be, please consider this your invitation to join! Kensington Library

It’s that time of year, Fall officially begins THIS Saturday! The Kensington Library Board would like to extend an invitation for you to join us for a Halloween Trunk-or-Treat again this year. Area and local businesses, organizations, and individuals are welcome to decorate a trunk and park around our community/school library with treats for the children. This event will be held on Halloween, Tuesday October 31, from 5:00-7:00pm.
