Memory Flower Garden Coming Together

The Spirit Task Force has been working hard on the memorial garden project on Main Street in Kensington for some time now. In August of 2019 the decorative white wall was built and many hands helped with plants, flowers, and mulch too. The permanent mural was installed by Prairie Land Electric and painted by TRHS students during the Community Clean-Up day last fall.  The Task Force started selling Memory Bricks at the Craft Fair held during the Veterans’ Day Celebration last November and continued selling them this summer. I do apologize as I misstated a couple weeks ago about the TRHS students laying these bricks during their community clean-up day. Cindy Rahjes and Dixie Rietzke have enlisted the help of John Franklin’s Solid Rock Construction of Smith Center, KS to lay the brick walkways. The Memory Flower Garden is finally coming together beautifully.
