Christmas Kickoff in Kensington THIS Sunday!

December 1st is the WHOBALATION!  Join us in Kensington as the Commercial Club hosts the annual Christmas Kickoff event starting at 3:00pm, downtown Kensington. 

You don't want to miss it!  We are changing it up and doing things different this year! There will be food, drinks, crafts, photo op with Santa, and a special appearance by the Grinch. Be sure to check out our schedule of events.

FHSU Math Relays Results 

On Thursday, November 14, 2024, the following students attended Fort Hays State University 45th Math Relays. Jenny Banuelos Galicia, Jimmy Escobar Orellana, Henryk Watkins (competed as a senior), Michael Ferguson, Evan Slavik, Irene Tilton, Kaden Werle, Samuel Baker, Jasmine Ferguson, Brillon McDowell, Leanka van der Linden, Hannah Nelson, Addie Molzahn, Lexi Rust, Heath Hopson, and, Tate Foreman.

The Sophomore Team of Jasmine, Brillon, and Samuel earned a bronze place in Number Sense.

The Junior Team of Michael, Evan, and Irene earned tenth place in Using Number Sense.

The Sophomore Team of Samuel, Jasmine, and Hannah earned tenth place in Algebraic Manipulations.

Evan Slavik earned junior eighth place individual in the event Informal Geometry and Measurement.

Brillon McDowell earned a bronze in sophomore individual Applications of Algebra, Arithmetic.

The Freshman Team of Lexi, Heath, and Tate earned tenth place in Calculation with Calculators.

Overall school winners, Thunder Ridge earned sixth(6th) place out of twenty (20) 1A schools.

There were forty-eight (48) schools and six hundred fifty(650) students registered for the Math Relays.  Thank you to our bus driver Jeff Nech.  He was a great help in knowledge about road construction delays and getting our students to and from the event.  It’s always a pleasure to travel with our students.  We also got to see some of our alumni, so good of them to stop in to see us!  Congratulations Thunder Ridge!  Well done!


Thanksgiving Dinner at the American Legion

This Thursday, November 28 at 12:00pm Noon, we will be hosting the annual community Thanksgiving Dinner at the American Legion in Kensington.

Provided for Guests: Turkey or Ham, dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, choice of corn or green beans, dinner roll; Plates, flatware, napkins, coffee/tea/water.

Please BRING: a salad, side dish, or dessert and Free Will Donations. Everyone is welcome, bring the whole family for good food and great fellowship.


Legion Friday Night 

Serving the regular menu items every Friday from 6-8pm and a special for $11. Call ahead your to–go orders at 785-476-3204. We hope to see you Friday night!  Also, open Sunday nights from 6-8pm offering burger baskets and a featured item.
