Veteran Vernon Kulhman Recognized at NFR

Former longtime Kensington resident and veteran, Vernon Kulhman (age 103), was honored during Military Night at the National Finals Rodeo last Wednesday, December 11, in Las Vegas, NV. The 80th anniversary of D-Day was recognized and US Army Sergeant Retired Kuhlman, along with 3 other military heroes, was honored. Such an amazing tribute!

Block the Doors

Each Christmas season the TR KAYs organize a food drive for the food bank. This year they decided to place food on eight tables for each of the eight classrooms instead of vertically stacking them in the actual doors. The rule was to place the food on the table on the food’s smallest part. To no surprise, the students came ready to fill all the tables! Since the tables were filled, the students earned a day without classes. They played board games instead!

This year the food and items collected were split between the high school’s food pantry and the community one.
