Thunder Ridge Ballgames & Events
As we enter Tournament games, the guidelines have the Home team seated to the RIGHT of the Scorer's Bench and the home students/spectators seated behind that bench. This is just the opposite of what we normally do in our Gym. This Friday night, Feb. 25, we host a sub state game and this seating arrangement will be followed. Our Cheerleaders will be located at the east end of the Gym by our bench.
Also: No school, league, or senior citizen passes will be honored at this playoff event. Admission Prices are $7 for adults and $5 for students.
Those who are listed on the Pass Gate to be admitted free are: Team Members and Team Personnel, School Board Members and Spouses, School Administration, Up to 25 Band Members, Game administrative personnel--clock, scorebook, tickets, concessions, supervisors, etc.

Kensington Library News
Just a quick note from the Kensington Library. March 2nd is National Read Across America Day and we look forward to celebrating Dr. Seuss’ Birthday around this date each year. Many libraries and schools plan wonderful events for the entire week. Our Librarian, Mrs. Barnes, goes to visit the Thunder Ridge elementary students and plans fun activities to encourage a love of reading for the children.
Please make an effort to sit down and read with your children, grandchildren, maybe even the neighborhood children, and help to encourage reading the week of February 27 through March 5. Visit www.readingrockets.org/calendar/readacross or www.nea.org to learn more about this annual reading motivation and awareness program. Young readers become Future Leaders.
Condolences
Sympathy to the friends and family of Orlo Brokaw. He passed away February 13, 2022 at the age of 87. During his residency in Kensington, Orlo built a home using his own skills, only hiring contractors as necessary, and the entire family was involved in the process.
Weekly Inspiration
With repetition, your mind believes what you feed it. Feed it love. Feed it faith. Feed it positivity. As often as you can. If you don’t, it runs its own course, which usually ends up being negative. You have to make the conscious choice, over and over until it overrides and becomes the default.
