Book Club @ Kensington Library

The READ IT & EAT book club is currently reading “Cherry Pies & Deadly Lies” a very cherry mystery by Darci Hannah and “Midnight at the Blackbird Cafe” by Heather Webber. Keep an eye out for baked goods from the books for sale over at the KCS. Kari recently made Grandma Jenn’s Door County cherry pie and it was “to die for!”

Our next meeting will be the first Saturday in June (6/1/24) at 1:30pm and we encourage those joining us to make a recipe from the book or one you feel would compliment our book selections. We can’t wait to see you for a great book discussion and tasty treats.

Legion Friday Night

This week at the Kensington American Legion the special will be Peach Chicken on a bed of fried rice, Egg roll and Dessert for $11. We will have our regular menu items as well and our kitchen is open from 6-8pm.  You can call 785-476-3204 to have your order ready for pick up.  Hope to see you Friday!

Please contact Julie Craig (785-543-4108) for booking/Legion needs and Chris Barnes will be the kitchen manager (785-476-8043).  They will be more than happy to help you with your Legion requests. Please feel free to contact one of the commanders, too, and they are Bob Sinclair (360-355-2144) or Bob Wagner (785-476-7633).
