Memorial Day Service Schedule

Memorial Day Services on Sunday, May 26, 2024: Claudell Cemetery @ 9:00am; Cedar Cemetery @ 9:30am; Gaylord Cemetery @ 10:15am; Athol Lutheran Cemetery @ 10:45am; Pleasant View Cemetery (Athol) @ 11:15am; St. John Lutheran Cemetery (Kensington) @ 11:45am; Olive Branch Cemetery (Kensington) @ 1:00pm; Stone Cemetery @ 1:45pm; Germantown Cemetery @ 2:15pm.


Lions Club 

At the Lions May monthly meeting, Mike Isom and Kasey Grauerholz spoke to the club about the Smith County Drug and Alcohol program and all the various services it provides. 

The club also agreed to purchase new shirts for the community’s youth ball teams as well as the swim team. The porta potties the club always provides are already in place at the field. Lions club is always proud to support our youth and their activities. 

Bruce Rhea was also installed as a new member, with Darold Grauerholz as his sponsor. Birthday calendars were also dispersed to members and will be delivered soon. Extra calendars are available for purchase at the bank. 


Alumni Banquet RSVP Reminder

Please make your reservations ASAP (as in yesterday-LOL!) Don’t worry, there’s still time if you missed the deadline. But we need an official headcount for the meal, so PLEASE get your RSVP’s to Erica Barnes at 785-476-8185 or by email to the alumni board: dstmforeman@gmail.com. $25 per ticket can be paid at the door or mailed to: Kensington Alumni PO Box 72 Kensington, KS 66951.


Legion Friday Night

This week at the Kensington American Legion the special will be a chopped brisket sandwich with macaroni salad and a dessert. We will have our regular menu items as well. The kitchen is open from 6-8pm.  You can call 785-476-3204 to have your order ready for pick up.  Hope to see you Friday!
