Join us for a fun filled day of activities for the whole community! Make plans to attend the 2022 Old Fashioned Saturday Night event in Kensington on Saturday, August 20. The theme this year is “Down on the Farm,” so the kiddie parade costumes can be anything farm related.

IMPORTANT DATES: August 2nd - complete enrollment for PreK, K-8, 11, & 12; August 3rd - complete enrollment for 9 & 10; August 15 - MS & HS Sports practice begins (must have sports physicals completed by this date to participate); August 18 - 1st DAY OF SCHOOL.

Sapphire’s Little Girls Dance Camp

Camp Date: Aug 13, 2022 at 8:30 AM

Performance Date: Aug 20, 2022 around 7:00 PM

Cost: $15 per dancer (multiple children families will get a slight discount)

The Sapphires decided to bring back camp T-shirts. We would like to have them ordered before camp so hopefully we can have them for the performance. Please sign up by July 31 to guarantee your child will receive a shirt. If you don’t get it filled out before the 31st your child can still attend but may not receive a shirt. Shorthorn Football!

There are scholarships available for those that qualify on the league website.

Practices are in Kensington from 6-7:30pm Monday through Friday the first two weeks(starting towards the end of August). Practices will then be Monday, Tuesday, Thursday through the month of September and October.

Games are on Saturdays and the first game is September 10th. The furthest game being Victoria. Most of our games will be within an hour drive.

Annual Library Ice Cream Social

The Kensington community library board will again host our annual ice cream social event on Monday evening, August 1, 2022 from 6-7pm. Used and deleted books will be available for purchase also. All Free will donations will go to support the library‘s projects fund. The Used Books will be set up through August 9.

Friday Night @ the Legion

This week at the Kensington American Legion we will have a FISH FRY Friday Night. All you can eat is $15 for adults and $7.50 for children. Serving Fish, Cole slaw, French fries, hushpuppies, and dessert from 6-8pm this Friday, July 29th. Tell your friends! Come and eat with us!
