NOTICE TO KENSINGTON RESIDENTS:

Please be sure you have removed all inoperable or junk vehicles from your property. This was to be done by July 31st, so please get this done if you have not done so already. 


TR BACK TO SCHOOL

PRE-REGISTRATION MUST BE COMPLETED ON POWERSCHOOL BEFORE JULY 30. In person registration is July 31st and  August 1st

Enrollment Details July 31: Pre-K in person at TRMS, KDG in person at elementary, HS enroll in person on designated day.

Parents can now enroll online through PowerSchool. Please call the offices with any questions: HS (785) 476-2217; MS (785) 638-2244; ES (785) 476-3241. A reminder to get those Sports Physicals completed before school starts on August 15th.


Sapphire’s Little Girls Dance Camp

Camp Date: August 10,2024 at 9:00 AM

Performance Date: August 17, 2024 around 7:00 PM

Cost: $10 per dancer (multiple children families will get a slight discount)

The Sapphires decided to stay with camp T-shirts. We would like to have them ordered before camp so hopefully we can have them for the performance. Please sign up by July 31 to guarantee your child will receive a shirt. If you don’t get signed up before the 31st, your child can still attend but may not receive a shirt. More details

Legion Friday Night (8/2/24

Serving a special of BBQ meatballs, pasta salad, and dessert for $11. The regular menu items as well from 6-8pm on Friday nights. Keep an eye out for Facebook posts to see the special for the week too! Now offering burger baskets ONLY on Sunday nights from 6-8pm as well. Call ahead your to–go orders at 785-476-3204. We hope to see you Friday night!


Library News

We are set up for our summertime deleted and used books sale, so come browse!  Stop in to load up a sack of books and make a donation. Our Annual Library Social Event will be held on Monday, August 5! The library will be open from 2-7pm serving cookies and also hotdogs from 6-7pm that evening. Mark your calendars and make plans to attend.


News for the Kensington Community

Some of you may remember David Billings, from Wichita, Ks. His wife, Rusty Billings, passed away on July 14,2024.  She  had been in a nursing home for the past few months. Donations could be made to the Alzheimer's Assn.  Family from the Kensington area attending were:  Carolyn Billings, Linda Robinson, Robin Einsphar.  Other siblings that attended were:  Rod & Judy Billings;  Joan & Steve Heide; Dan & Jeanne Billings.
