Steering Committee Raffle
AT FRIDAY NIGHT GLOW RUN AND OLD FASHIONED SATURDAY NIGHT
Raffle Tickets may be purchased at the TR Steering Committee game booth on the north side of the Community Store on Friday, August 20 or Saturday, August 21.
The drawing will take place at the end of the program just before the street dance. Prizes and ticket prices are as follows:
12" Stuffed Longhorn /LED Light Strips ($1 per ticket or 6 for $5);
42" VIZIO Smart TV /TR Bench (by Buzz Rice) ($20 per ticket or 2 for $35).
There will also be TR apparel: t-shirts ($22 & $28), sweatshirts ($35) Hats ($15 & 20) and license plates ($15) available TO ORDER on these days, and on August 29 at the Back to School Bash as well. All orders MUST be paid for at the time of placing the order.
Attention Kensington Residents
Dumpsters will be available August 25 through September 5 for disposal of your large, bulky trash items. These bins will be located at the city lot on South Adams Street.
Back to School Bash
The TR Steering Committee will host a Back to School Bash on Sunday, August 29, at the American Legion in Kensington. Serving a meal from 11:00am-1:00pm and also taking orders for Thunder Ridge apparel. All orders MUST be paid for at the time of placing the order.
Grauerholz Reunion Date
The Henry/Anna Grauerholz family reunion will be held Sunday, September 5 at 12:30 at the north Lutheran church.
Kensington Library News
USD 110 schools started classes on Thursday, August 19. The library has now switched to our school year schedule. Mondays we are open late, from 8am to 7pm, Tuesday through Friday will be 8am to 4pm, and Saturdays are still 9am to 2pm. Any special closing or holiday hours will be posted accordingly. City Cleanup Instructions
Dumpster available from Aug 25-Sept 1
At the City Shop on South Adams
• RESIDENTIAL household waste only
• HAUL YOUR OWN!
--Place items INSIDE the provided dumpster.
--Use boxes or bags for smaller items, please.
--Appliances—If it uses FREON, the freon must be removed and tagged by a certified technician
--Metal & Batteries—Place on designated trailer
• NO tires, chemicals, or paint!!!
• NO business waste
IF you are absolutely unable to haul your own items, please call the City Office BEFORE Friday, August 27th to schedule a time to get help with waste pickup.
IF you are able, please consider assisting neighbors and friends who need help hauling items to the dumpsters. Can you assist the City with this cleanup project? Please call the City Office and ask how you can help.
